We sit under them for shade on a hot day. We use a lot timber when building ahouse for example for roof rafter and door and window frames, as for the furniture to put inside the house. We also need wood to make paper for the books and newspapers we read. We produce cooking oil from coconut and palm trees, as well as eating delicious fruit from orange, guava and mango trees. Every day the majority of villagers use charcoal, made from wood, to cook their meals. 2-Sometimes we are so busy enjoying and using the various products fromtrees thatwe fail to appreciate their most important function to cover and protect the soil.
